1-206.   City Manager Contract Authority.
The city manager shall have the authority to enter into binding contracts on behalf of the city, without specific board approval, in routine matters and matters having insubstantial long term consequences. Those types of routine matters and matters having insubstantial long term consequences, by way of example, but not by way of limitation, shall include annual contracts and the funding for which has been approved during the annual budget process, applications and contracts for state and federal grants and loans authorized by the Board of Commissioners, purchase, repair and maintenance contracts for city equipment, contracts for the purchase of services and equipment for which expenditures during the fiscal year will be less than $25,000.00, contracts or documents for services or equipment to be purchased from or provided by other governmental entities, and all other such routine contracts as provided in T. C. A. 6-19-104
