It shall be unlawful for any canvasser, solicitor, or salesman, or other person soliciting sales or other business to call at a private home, including room or apartment, within the city if a resident of the city, wishing to avoid being called upon by door-to-door canvassers, solicitors, or salesman, has posted a sign stating “No Soliciting” or “No Trespassing”.
