The City Council may revoke any taxicab driver’s permit for repeated violations of traffic laws or ordinances, or of any ordinance or code provision regulating the conduct of these drivers.

It shall be unlawful for any driver of a taxicab while on duty to drink any intoxicating liquor, use any profane or obscene language, shout or call to prospective passengers, disturb the peace in any way, or transport intoxicating liquors for sale, resale, or delivery.

(A) It shall be the duty of the driver of any taxicab to accept as a passenger any person who seeks to so use the taxicab; provided the person is not intoxicated and conducts himself or herself in an orderly manner. No person shall be admitted to a taxicab occupied by a passenger without the consent of the passenger.
(B) The driver shall take his or her passenger to his or her destination by the most direct available route from the place where the passenger enters the cab.
