A tax is hereby imposed for the purpose of fire protection in this city at the rate of.15% of the value, as equalized or assessed by the Department of Revenue, of all the taxable property therein for the first year in which this tax is levied in accordance with the provisions of ILCS Chapter 65, Act 5, § 11-7-1.
