(A) Private fire lines and/or private fire protections systems shall be installed and maintained at the expense of the property owner/customer. The Town of Paoli is responsible for that section of the fire line that is from the main valve to the tap. The property owner is responsible for the fire line and all appurtenances thereto from the fire protection valve to the building.
(B) The property owner is responsible for the repair of the fire lines that are damaged as a part of the property owner's maintenance or repair work. The Town of Paoli shall not be held liable or responsible for any losses or damage resulting from fire or water which may occur due to the installation of a private fire service system or any leakage or flow of water therefrom.
(C) Before any modifications any made to any private fire protection system or fire line or before service is furnished to any new fire protection system or fire line, connected to or proposed to be connected to and supplied with water from the town water utility's distribution mains, final plans shall be filed with and approved by the town. The following shall he shown on the plans:
(1) The number of sprinkler heads to be served.
(2) The sizes and locations of the system's piping.
(3) The sizes and locations of all connections to the utility's distribution mains.
(4) The sizes, locations, and types of all valves.
(5) The sizes and locations of all hose connections, reels or cabinets.
(6) The sizes and locations of storage tanks connected to the system.
(7) The outlet sizes and locations of all fire hydrants.
(D) Any person who violates any provisions of § 53.05 shall, upon conviction, become liable to the Town of Paoli for any expense, loss, or damage by reason of the violation including without limitation, material costs, labor costs, and/or reasonable attorney fees incurred by the Town of Paoli for collection of the account.
(E) Any person who violates any provision of § 53.05, shall upon conviction, be subject to a fine not exceeding $2,500 for the first violation and a fine not exceeding $7,500 for a second or subsequent violation of the section. A separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each day during which a violation occurs or continues.
