(a) The Historic Preservation Commission shall consider all requests for designation at a regularly scheduled meeting, shall make findings of fact based on the criteria set forth in Section 1499.02, and shall vote to approve or deny the request. In this regard, the Historic Preservation Commission may continue its consideration of a request for historic marker designation to a future regularly scheduled meeting to allow more information or documentation to be supplied in regard to said request.
(b) If the request for historic marker designation is denied, the owner of the property may re-apply for historic marker designation if new information or documentation is submitted.
(c) If the request for historic marker designation is approved, the Village will supply a historic marker to the owner of the property along with guidelines for posting the historic marker in a location visible to the public.
