1042.08 SPECIFICATIONS FOR REPLACEMENTS.
When it becomes necessary to replace an old private sewage disposal system, the specifications set forth in Section 1042.07 shall apply, except that the old tank may be used if it is in good condition and if the 500-gallon capacity for the initial settling tank is met. If such system cannot be installed due to drainage, run-off, lot size, topography or soil conditions, then variations shall be considered individually on the merit of each application.
If requests for enlarging or repairing a leach field are made, permission therefor shall be granted only at the owner's risk and with the full understanding that if the repairs do not work, further repair or replacement with an aerobic system shall be required. A new field or addition shall be installed in a virgin area.
