§ 93.16 PERMIT ISSUANCE, EXPIRATION.
It shall be the duty of the building commissioner, upon the filing of an application for an erection permit, to examine the plans and specification and other data, and the premises upon which it is proposed to erect the sign or other advertising structure, and, if all the requirements of this chapter and all the laws and ordinances of the city are complied with, he shall then issue the erection permit. If the work authorized under an erection permit has not been completed within 3 months after the date of issuance, the permit shall expire. The building commissioner may extend the permit for all additional period of time at no additional charge.
