(A) Pursuant to a citation issued under § 35.10, the person accused of a violation may settle and compromise the violation claim by paying to the city the applicable amount, as shown in the schedule set forth in § 35.14, within a period to be specified in the citation, not more than 7 days of the time after the alleged offense was committed.
(B) The payment shall be made in accordance with the instructions contained in the citation, at the office of the city clerk, who shall issue a receipt for the money received and promptly remit the amount to the city treasurer to be credited to the proper municipal fund.
