§ 32.45 BOOKS OF APPROPRIATIONS, EXPENDITURES, RECEIPTS REQUIRED; AVAILABILITY FOR INSPECTION.
   The city treasurer shall open and keep, in a neat and methodical manner, a complete set of books, in which, among other things, shall be set forth the appropriations of the fiscal year, each distinct object and branch of expenditure, and also the receipts from each and every source of revenue, so far as he can ascertain the same. The books, and all other papers kept in his office, shall be subject to the examination of the mayor, the city council, or any committee thereof.
