§ 32.27 CUSTODY OF DOCUMENTS, OFFICERS' BONDS.
   The clerk shall be the custodian of all documents, books, records, and papers belonging to the city, which are not assigned to the custody of some other officer of the city by law. The clerk shall be the custodian of all bonds required to be filed with the city, except his own bond, which shall be filed with the treasurer.
