In the event the Fire Chief feels that certain areas of the city should be designated emergency drought areas under Fla. Stat. § 590.081, or extraordinary fire hazards under Fla. Stat. § 590.082, he may petition the Director of the Division of Forestry for a determination of the issue in order that the designation process under the above statutory provisions can be expedited.
