(A) C-1 Neighborhood Commercial District.
(1) No billboards are to be erected, or by any other means, attached to any premise in this zone.
(2) Only one sign or device indicating the name and/or type of business conducted will be permitted.
(3) These signs shall not exceed 20 square feet unless they are detached from the building and not less than ten feet from the nearest right-of-way line and written approval is granted signifying it as a special use. Such approval will be granted only upon the determination that the sign will not be a detriment to the surrounding area.
(4) No sign which causes light and glare problems for neighboring residential properties shall be permitted.
(B) C-2 General Business District.
(1) Any sign permitted and/or not expressly prohibited in this section is allowed in this zone.
(2) Signs not larger than 30 square feet and not more than one per commercial establishment are permitted.
(C) C-3 Central Business District.
(1) No billboards are to be erected or attached to any building.
(2) Only one sign or device for business will be permitted.
(3) Signs shall not be larger than 30 square feet.
(4) No sign will be allowed which causes light or glare problems for neighboring residential properties.
(5) Signs shall not encroach or hang over the public sidewalk or right-of-way more than 12 inches.
(6) Nonconforming signs shall be removed within 24 months from the date of the enactment of this chapter. Any signs that are replaced during the 24-month period from the date of this chapter shall conform to this chapter.
(D) C-4 Highway Business District.
(1) All signs permitted in division (C) above.
(2) A written release from the restrictions of division (C) above may be obtained provided the following requirements are met:
(a) No sign project more than seven feet from building to which it is attached;
(b) The detailed sign shall be at least 25 feet from the nearest right-of-way and at least, ten feet from the side lot lines; and
(c) The sign shall not exceed a total of 100 square, feet.
(3) This written release will only be granted when determination that the sign would not deter any of the surrounding areas.
(4) Billboards may be included in this zone.
(E) I-1 Light Industrial District.
(1) Signs permitted in zone C-4; and
(2) The provisions of division (D)(2) above are applicable to this zone provided that all yard requirements and setback regulations for this zone are met.
(F) I-2 Heavy Industrial District. All provisions of division (E) above apply to this zone.
