1301.01 ADOPTION.

   The Ohio Building Code (OBC) as adopted by the Ohio Board of Building Standards, Department of Industrial Relations and as published in the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC), including all such amendments, changes and replacements as are from time to time adopted, is hereby adopted by reference and fully incorporated herein so that each Ohio Building Code in effect in Ohio shall at all times be effective as the law of this Municipality except as the same shall be expressly altered or modified by legislation enacted and contained in this chapter.

1301.02 ADDITIONS, INSERTIONS AND CHANGES.

    1301.02.1:   No encroachment shall be permitted which extends past the curb line or into an alley right-of-way, except as permitted in 1301.02.4.

   1301.02.2:   Awnings, canopies and marquees must be supported from the building only.

   1301.02.3    No balcony shall be projected beyond or over the right-of-way.

   1301.02.4   Where the vertical clearance above grade to a projecting architectural feature or mechanical equipment is more than 15 feet (4572 mm) above grade, a maximum encroachment of 2 feet is permitted into an alley right-of-way.

   1301.02.5:   No temporary encroachment shall be permitted.
