735.01 REGULATIONS.
   (a)   Temporary use of right-of-way or sidewalks for sales activities or services are not allowed on the right-of-way or sidewalks in the City of Oxford, except as provided herein.
   (b)   Temporary use of right-of-way or sidewalks for sale activities or services are allowed as follows:
      (1)   Charitable Events; the principal purpose of which is to benefit a national, state, or locally recognized charity or non-profit organization and the temporary use will occur simultaneously with the charitable event.
      (2)   Community Events; the principal purpose of which is to support the requested activities and the temporary use will occur simultaneously with the community event.
      (3)   Business Promotion; promotion of a business is allowed provided the principal business is open during the hours of the promotion and the promotional event occurs not more frequently than once every thirty days.

   (c)   Promotional events as provided for in subsection (b)(3) hereof shall be for no more than a seventy-two hour “consecutive period”.
   (d)   A temporary right-of-way/sidewalk permit shall be required by all persons engaging in temporary use of the right-of-way or sidewalks. The applicant must provide a statement that the property owner in front of which the temporary use of a sidewalk is to be set up, if other than the City, has agreed to the temporary use of the sidewalk. Permission of the City rather than the property owner will be required for community events.
