§ 50.037 INSPECTION AND TESTING.
   (A)   During and following construction, the utility shall have the right to inspect the installation to ascertain any deficiencies in the installation and to determine that the installation is being made in accordance with specifications as submitted by the owner and approved by the utility in the owner's application for service. Before a service connection is made, the Superintendent of the utility shall be present to supervise this connection to the city maintained line. The Superintendent must be notified at least 24 hours in advance of the date and time this connection is to be made. Inspection shall further be made by the Superintendent of the utility prior to covering any installation with earth. The utility shall be notified at least 24 hours in advance of the date and time this covering is to be made.
   (B)   Any installation of water main shall be tested by the utility prior to use of the line. If it is determined that the line has been installed according to specifications as submitted and approved in the application for service and meets testing requirements, the utility shall notify the owner in writing of this determination and water service shall then be supplied by the utility.
   (C)   The utility shall further notify the owner in writing of acceptance of this installation as part of the utility's system.
