All costs and expense indigent to the installation and connection of a building sewer shall be borne by the owner, who shall indemnify the city from any loss or damage that may directly or indirectly be occasioned by the installation of the building sewer. All connections shall be made under the supervision of the Superintendent of the Sewer System or other duly authorized official of the city.
