The Tax Collector shall annually settle his or her accounts for ad valorem taxes, and the City Council, upon approving same, shall issue to him or her a quietus for the tax book for which settlement is made. The settlement shall be filed at the first regular or special meeting of the City Council held after the filing of the report of sale and approval of said report.
