(A) (1) The Waterworks Commission shall serve as follows: One member appointed from the City Council shall serve one year from the date of his or her appointment and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified.
(2) The second member appointed from the City Council shall serve two years from the date of his or her appointment and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified, and the other three members shall serve four years from the date of their appointment and until their successors are appointed and qualified.
(B) In the event of a vacancy in said Waterworks Commission, it shall be filled by appointment by the Mayor with consent of the majority of the members of the City Council.
(C) Any member of said Commission may be removed by the City Council for neglect of duty or any causes which may render him or her unsuitable in the discharge of his or her duties.
