§ 151.999 PENALTY.
   (A)   Unless otherwise specified, any person violating any provision of this building chapter may be subject to a fine of $250 per day not to exceed $2,500. Each day of such unlawful activity constitutes a separate offense. Any such action for mandatory or injunctive relief may be joined with an action to recover the penalties provided for in this code, plus the cost of filing and reasonable attorney fees. The assessment of a monetary penalty shall in no way limit the operation of the penalties provided elsewhere in this building chapter.
   (B)   If the Building Commissioner provides written notice to an owner that the owner has failed to install or maintain a placard on the structure in violation of § 151.075; and the owner fails to correct the violation not later than ten business days after receiving the written notice; the owner is liable for a civil penalty of not more than $100 per day during the period beginning ten business days after the owner receives written notice of the violation from the Building Commissioner and until the date the violation is corrected. A penalty imposed under this division (B) may not exceed $3,000 per structure, per year.
