Names of new streets shall not duplicate existing or platted street names unless a new street is a continuation of or in alignment with the existing or platted street, in which event it shall bear the same name of the existing or platted street so in alignment. Street names shall conform with the street numerical plan when applicable. Approval of street names shall be at the discretion of the City Council.
