All signs must comply with the following regulations.
(A) Business signs.
(1) Freestanding signs.
(a) A ground sign shall not exceed six feet in height and 32 square feet in area.
(b) Pylon signs shall not be allowed.
(2) Wall signs. Each property shall be limited to 32 square feet of total sign area per business, except for the following.
(a) If the property abuts two or more public rights-of-way, an additional 32 square feet per business shall be permitted for each right-of-way including alleys.
(b) If the business is larger than 2,000 square feet, the wall signage may be increased one square foot per 100 square feet in excess of 2,000 square feet up to an additional 32 square feet per business for each street right-of-way including alleys.
(3) Projecting signs.
(a) Signs shall not project more than four feet beyond the building line, nor extend above the top of the wall surface on which they are located.
(b) Signs projecting over public right-of-way require a building permit.
(c) Signs shall not exceed 16 square feet in surface area.
(d) Signs must be a minimum of two feet from the curb line.
(B) Illuminated signs.
(1) External illumination of signs is permitted.
(2) Internal illumination of signs shall not be permitted.
(3) Electronic message signs shall not be permitted.
