The Minnesota State Fire Code as adopted by the State Fire Marshal pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 299F.011, 7-10-2007, and the International Fire Code, 2006 Edition, promulgated by the International Fire Code Institute, both as presently enacted and as may be duly amended from time to time, are hereby adopted as the fire code for the city, except as may be modified in this code. The aforesaid fire code of the city shall be known as and may be cited as the “Fire Code”. Any provision of the Fire Code to protect life or property in the city which is more restrictive shall prevail over the provisions of the Minnesota State Fire Code.
