§ 118.001 RADIO AND OTHER MECHANICAL MUSICAL DEVICES PROHIBITED.
   No person shall maintain or operate in any building or on any street or premises in the city any radio device or mechanical musical instrument or other musical instrument or sound device, or amplifying equipment of any kind whereby the sound therefrom is cast directly upon the public streets and places and where such device is maintained for commercial advertising purposes or for the purpose of attracting the attention of the passing public, or which is so placed and operated that the sounds coming therefrom can be heard to the annoyance or inconvenience of travelers upon any street or public place or of persons in neighboring premises.

§ 118.002 PRACTICES PROHIBITED.
   No person shall, without a permit therefor, drive or propel, or cause to be driven or propelled, or stop, park or have any vehicle upon the streets or on any public place in the city with any musical instrument or device, or amplifying equipment playing music or emitting sounds for the purpose of commercial advertising. This shall not prohibit the use of radios installed or being transported in vehicles, nor shall it prohibit the playing of bands or orchestras in concerts or formal parades, or candidates for public office or religious purpose or other public enterprises.
