§ 94.006 POLES AND WIRES; PERMISSION.
   (A)   Authorization for poles in public ways. No person shall, except when acting under the sanction of some ordinance duly passed by the Council, erect or set any telephone, telegraph, electric light or electric power pole or pole of any sort for the support of wires in any public street, road or alley or on any public ground within the corporate limits of the city.

   (B)   Applicability. Nothing in this section shall be construed, however, to in any way affect the rights of any person, persons, company or corporation who have heretofore erected and set any pole or poles in the city with the consent of the city.
