(A) Salary.
(1) The salary of the Mayor is $5,600 per year.
(2) The salary of each Council member is $4,500 per year.
(B) Salary review. On or before December 1 of odd-numbered years, the salaries of the Mayor and Council members shall be reviewed for possible adjustment. Any adjustment shall be based on the Council’s review of salary data, to be compiled by city staff, from the seven-county metro-area cities with a population of 10,000 or less.
(C) Effective date. Any amendment of this section that changes Mayor or Council salary shall be effective January 1 following the next regular municipal election. Temporary reductions in salary may be made in accordance with M.S § 415.11, subd. 3.
