The City Clerk will be responsible to the City Administrator for effective administration of the City Clerk's department and all assigned activities. The City Clerk's duties include:
(A) Performing all duties required by statute, the Council, ordinance, resolution, or the City Administrator;
(B) Giving the required notice of each regular and special election, record the proceedings thereof, notify officials of the election or appointments to office, certify to the County Auditor all appointments and the results of all city elections;
(C) Acting as the City Clerk of the city, the custodian of its seal and records, sign its official papers, post and publish such notices, ordinances, and resolutions as required;
(D) Keeping a minute book, noting therein all proceedings of the Council;
(E) Keeping an ordinance book, recording at length all ordinances passed by the Council;
(F) Being the "responsible authority" for compliance with the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act;
(G) Delivering to a successor all books and records belonging to the city; and
(H) Performing such other appropriate duties as may be imposed by the Council.
