(A) Pursuant to I.C. 8-1-26-1 et seq., all persons excavating, demolishing, or digging on real estate must notify the state’s Underground Plant Protection Service, by dialing 811, to locate utility lines prior to such excavation.
(B) Any damage occurring to the town’s utility lines or appurtenances as a result of improper excavating, demolishing, or digging on real estate in the town shall be paid by the property owner or renter prior to reconnection of the town’s utility service.
