§ 32.04 PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT FUND.
   (A)   The Town Council elects to become a participant in the Public Employees’ Retirement Fund as established by the Acts of 1945, Chapter 340, and all acts amendatory and supplemental thereto.
   (B)   The Town Council agrees to make the required contributions under the Public Employees’ Retirement Fund Act, being I.C. 5-10.3-1-1 et seq., and all acts amendatory thereof and supplemental thereto; including specifically the Indiana Public Employees’ Social Security Integration and Supplemental Retirement Benefits Act, being I.C. 5-10.2-1 et seq.
   (C)   The following are declared to be covered by the Fund: Clerk-Treasurer, Gas Superintendent, Gas Operator, Water Plant Superintendent, Water Plant Operators, Sewer Plant Superintendent, Sewer Plant Operators, Town Manager, Marshal, Laborers, Street Superintendent, Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, and Deputy Marshal.
   (D)   It is hereby declared that none of the classifications or positions specified in division (C) above are compensated on a fee basis or of an emergency nature, or in a part-time category.
   (E)   The active participating membership of the town shall begin on January 1, 1983.
   (F)   The Clerk-Treasurer is hereby appointed the designated signatory and representative for the town in order to sign all documents on behalf of the town necessary to enable the employees of said town to join and maintain membership in the Public Employees’ Retirement Fund for the state.
