§ 70.085  CROSSING STREETS.
   Pedestrians shall be subject to traffic-control signals at intersections where the signals are operating. When traffic-control signals are not operative or in place, the driver of a motor vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to pedestrians crossing the roadway within the crosswalk. No pedestrian shall suddenly leave a curb or other place of safety and walk or run into the path of a motor vehicle which is so close that it is impossible for the driver to yield the right-of-way.
