(A) It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to use or operate or cause to be used or operated within the corporate limits of the town, any engine brake, compression brake or mechanical exhaust device designed to aid in the braking or deceleration of any vehicle for any reason, except in the case of failure of the service brake system or emergency.
(B) For the purposes of this section, an ENGINE BRAKE or COMPRESSION BRAKE is defined as any mechanical exhaust device designed to aid in the braking or deceleration of any vehicle by converting engine power to compressed air. These mechanical exhaust devices are also commonly referred to as dynamic brakes, transmission brakes or Jake brakes.
(C) Upon promulgation according to law, the Town Marshal and/or Town Street Superintendent, is authorized to post all street signs necessary to accomplish this section.
