Every motor vehicle shall be equipped with a good and audible signaling device or horn in efficient working condition. The signaling device shall be sounded only when necessary to give timely warning of the approach of the motor vehicle, and it shall be unlawful and a public nuisance for any person to sound his or her signaling device or horn for any purpose other than as a warning of impending danger.
