The Chief shall inspect or cause to be inspected by an officer or inspector of the Bureau as deemed necessary by the Mayor or his designee:
(a) All premises in which any activity mentioned in Section 1501.04 is carried on and all buildings, machinery and equipment in which or by which especially hazardous manufacturing processes, storages or installations of acetylene or other gases, chemicals, oils, explosives and inflammable materials are used, stored or carried on;
(b) All interior fire alarm and automatic sprinkling systems and such other appliances as the Chief designates;
(c) All buildings, premises and public places in the commercial, industrial and closely built-up sections of the City, except the interior of private dwellings; and,
(d) All school and public buildings, motels, rest homes, convalescent homes and hospitals,
for the purpose of ascertaining and causing to be corrected any conditions creating or constituting a fire hazard or in violation of any ordinance of the City or law of the State pertaining to the protection of life and property from fire or in the event of fire.
