Any person, firm or corporation engaging in any one or more of the following activities shall secure a permit as hereinafter provided:
(a) Maintaining or operating a gasoline filling station.
(b) Maintaining or operating a public garage.
(c) Use, storage, handling and/or transportation of:
(1) Explosives,
(2) Calcium carbide or acetylene,
(3) Liquefied petroleum gases,
(4) Flammable liquid except as contained in approved tanks for fuel and storage only of paints, lacquers and finishes in sealed containers.
(d) Maintenance or operation of welding equipment.
(e) Maintenance or operation of enclosed spray paint facilities.
(f) Maintenance or operation of stoves, ranges, hot plates, broilers, grease hoods and vents other than residential.
(g) Storage or use of combustible packing material or combustible shipping containers.
(h) Operations using or producing sawdust, grain dust or other combustible dusts or particles or combustible plastics or resins.
(i) Installation of inflammable decorations of any kind in buildings or premises used for trade or business or listed in Section 1501.03(e).
(j) Maintaining a rest home or convalescent home, provided that nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to apply to:
(1) The transportation of any article or thing shipped in conformity with regulations prescribed by the Interstate Commerce Commission.
(2) The military or naval forces of the United States.
(k) Maintaining or operating motion picture projection facilities.
