(A) The State Vehicle Code, 625 ILCS 5/12-100 et seq., entitled “Equipment of Vehicles”, as passed, approved and amended by the state’s General Assembly, is hereby adopted by the village and the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the village.

(B) No motor vehicle shall be operated on any street unless such vehicle is provided with a muffler in efficient actual working condition and the use of a cut-out is prohibited. No muffler shall cause an unreasonably loud or excessive noise.
