§ 70.11  OFF-ROAD VEHICLES.
   Off-road vehicles (ORV),as defined under I.C. 14-8-2-185, may be operated upon any street, alley, roadway, or highway located within the town so long as the operator and the ORV meet the requirements of I.C. 14-16-1 et seq. and all other applicable Indiana laws and subject to the following limitations:
   (A)   No ORV may be operated upon any street, alley, roadway, or highway located within the town between sunset and sunrise; and
   (B)   No ORV may be operated in a school zone during school hours; and
   (C)   The Oolitic Town Marshal shall inspect the ORV and issue a decal to any ORV which satisfies the conditions of I.C. 14-16-1 et seq. and this section. No vehicle may be operated upon streets and roadways until the Town Marshal has inspected and approved the ORV. The decal issued by the Town Marshal shall be displayed upon the ORV in an area where it can be seen upon reasonable inspection; and
   (D)   An operator of an ORV on a street or roadway shall have liability insurance specifically for such ORV operation on street or roadway in accordance with the minimum insurance required for the operation of other motor vehicles on public highways, in the minimum amount of $25,000 per person/$50,000 per accident. In addition, proof of insurance must be provided when registering the ORV with the Town Marshal; and
   (E)   Any operator of an ORV shall carry on his or her person any registration required under I.C. 14-16-1 et seq.
