254.45 WORK SCHEDULE POLICY.
   (a)   Supervisors prepare work schedules based on Department needs. Changes to the schedule may be made as necessary. Your supervisor should review these needs with you and should keep you informed of any schedule changes including overtime needs. Your understanding and cooperation in meeting your department's work schedule is important to maintaining a productive work environment.
   (b)   Refer to your Collective Bargaining Agreement, Department Head or Supervisor for any further clarification.
   (c)   A part-time employee (except part-time fire employees) may not work more than twenty-eight (28) hours in a one week period (Sunday through Saturday). A part-time fire employee may not work more than ninety-six (96) hours in a month.
   (d)   Both the employee and their supervisor are responsible for compliance with this policy. Should a part-time non-fire employee work more than twenty-eight (28) hours in a one week period or a part-time fire employee work more than ninety-six (96) hours in a month, the Mayor or his/her designee will investigate and determine the reason. The employee, supervisor, or both may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including possible termination for a violation of this policy.
