254.16 LEAVES OF ABSENCE GENERALLY.
   Any full-time employee having at least five years of service with the Municipality may apply, in writing, to the Mayor, through his or her department head, for a leave of absence not to exceed six months. No compensation or fringe benefits shall be paid to or on behalf of such employee granted such leave. A maternity leave of absence may be granted after one year of service with the Municipality. The employee granted a leave of absence pursuant to this section shall notify the Mayor, at least thirty days prior to the expiration of such leave, of his or her intention to return to service with the Municipality.
