254.09 OVERTIME.
   (a)   Any classified employee of the City who is called back to duty by his or her supervisor shall be compensated for such duty at the rate of one and one-half times his or her base salary.
   (b)   With regard to members of the Police Department and/or the Dispatcher Division, such call-back is applicable only after the employee has been on duty for eight consecutive hours in any one day or a total of forty hours in any one week. Such call back may immediately follow regularly scheduled duty.
   (c)   Such call-back for members of the Fire Department is applicable after the employee has been on duty for twenty-four consecutive hours in any one shift day of twenty-four hours or an average total of fifty-six hours in any one week, which is to say that an employee is entitled to overtime when he or she is on duty in excess of forty-eight hours in a forty-eight hour regularly scheduled work week, or in excess of seventy-two hours in a seventy-two hour regularly scheduled work week. Such call-back may immediately follow regularly scheduled duty. In any event, the employee shall be compensated for call-back duty for a minimum of two hours at the rate set forth in subsection (a) hereof.
   (d)   A member of the Service Department, including the Service Supervisor, who is called back to duty by his or her supervisor, shall be compensated for such duty at the rate of one and one-half times his or her base salary, except that in the event of call-back to duty by his or her supervisor for less than two hours, such employee shall be compensated at the rate of four hours of straight time for such call-back duty. Such call-back is applicable only after the employee has been on duty for eight consecutive hours in any one day or a total of forty hours in any one week between December 1 and December 31. In addition, such call-back is applicable only after the employee has been on duty for ten consecutive hours in any one day or a total of forty hours in any one week between April 1 and November 30.
   (e)   Such call-back duty shall begin at the time the dispatcher on duty logs the callback and shall continue until the called back employee is released from duty by the supervisor or person in charge.
   (f)   The Chief of Police, the Chief of Fire and the Building and Zoning Inspector are not entitled to overtime.
