(a) The Clerk of Council shall maintain a looseleaf binder containing the original copy of every ordinance introduced before Council, which shall be on standard letter size bond paper, eight and one-half by eleven inches, and which shall either contain all the information regarding introduction, readings, passage, signatures and certification, as required in Section 222.03, or which shall contain a statement of the Clerk that some disposition other than passage was made of the ordinance, and the nature and date of such disposition.
(b) The ordinance book required by subsection (a) hereof and at least one official copy of the Codified Ordinances required to be maintained by Section 202.07 shall be kept by the Clerk at the City Hall in a reasonably safe manner. Except as provided in Section 202.07, no person shall remove either or both of such books from the City Hall for any purpose other than to avoid injury or destruction. (Ord. 2-92. Passed 1-14-92.)
