Whenever a method of appeal is identified in any of the technical codes, the following provisions shall apply:
A. General: The board of building and fire code appeals (the "board"), as established under title 3, chapter 5 of this code is authorized to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the building official, the code official, or the fire code official relative to the application and interpretations of the technical codes.
B. Limitations Of Authority: The board shall have no authority relative to interpretation of the administrative provisions of the technical codes, nor shall the board be empowered to waive requirements of the technical codes.
C. The Board Of Building And Fire Code Appeals: The membership, terms, appointment, powers and duties, and procedures of the board shall be as outlined in title 3, chapter 5 of this code.
D. Compliance With Section 16-8A-12 Of This Title: All appeals filed with the board must comply with the provisions of section 16-8A-12 of this title, and will be reviewed by the board in the manner identified in that section, except that subsection 16-8A-12F of this title does not apply to appeals under the technical codes.
