The following should be used as general guidelines for travel:
A. Department directors and division managers should limit overnight attendance at out of state professional association conferences to one per year and in state conferences to two (2) per year.
1. Diverse activities and demands within departments may dictate no travel or more travel each year with justification and approval by the chief administrative officer.
2. Ogden City will support those who choose to hold offices in professional associations; exceptions to this policy may be granted if the individual is an officer or on the board of an association.
B. Ogden City strives for continuous training and education. There is no set standard for the frequency of attendance at training sessions. Overnight seminars, courses and other training need to be justified and approved as follows:
