Within this policy, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
CHANGE ORDER: A change to the scope of services of a project or as a change to the construction contract necessitated by the unexpected field conditions.
MAJOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: Any project with a value over two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00) which results in the addition of, or improvement to, at least one permanent physical asset attached above or below the ground, whether or not the project is funded through the capital improvement process. Specifically, "major construction project" includes, but is not limited to, buildings; underground utilities; streets; curb, gutter and sidewalk; park improvements; and renovations of existing physical assets.
