1830-3: PROCEDURE:
   A.   After receipt of a request for records form and identification of the record classification, the city recorder will determine the time required to provide the requested record. If the time required to fill the request exceeds the ten (10) day time limit for response, the city recorder will complete a notice of extended time for response to records request form indicating the reason for the delay. The original notice of extended time will be provided to the requestor. The city recorder will maintain a copy of the original request for records, as notification of a possible appeal.
   B.   The city recorder will maintain the copy of the notice of extended time for response to records request form for one year following final action, unless an appeal is filed. If an appeal is filed within thirty (30) days, the copy will be maintained with the appeal file for documentation to the records appeal board. (Eff. 3-14-2007)
