When a division manager decides to utilize the emergency notification system for a planned event or dissemination of nonemergency information, he or she shall fill out an "emergency notification request" form (this form can be found on the Ogden City intranet site at: http://insider/cityforms.html) and send it electronically to the emergency manager and the fire department administrative assistant. If the emergency manager is unavailable the administrative assistant will forward the request to Weber County emergency management or to Weber area consolidated dispatch. The requestor will have the option to record his or her own voice message or have it entered into text by emergency management.
In the event of an emergency requiring immediate notification, the OPD duty lieutenant or OFD battalion chief or designee may immediately contact Weber area consolidated dispatch to initiate the notification. (Eff. 10-18-2013)
