If a need arises to notify the public, it is the responsibility of each department and/or division to determine which communication method would best serve its purpose. The request to use the emergency notification system will be made by a division manager or above, except in the case of an emergency (see below). Final approval for nonemergent use shall be by the mayor or designee.
Weber area consolidated dispatch, Ogden City emergency management, and Weber County emergency management are authorized to access the system for notification. (Eff. 10-18-2013)
