A. City letterhead must comply with the design elements in this section.
B. Use of an approved logo must be used on city letterhead. By default, the logo to be used is the city seal or the "mountain" logo as maintained by the management services department. Other logos may be used with the approval of the department director. Logos must be placed in the upper left corner of the letterhead, beginning 0.5 inch below the top of the page and 1.0 inch from the left side of the page.
C. Opposite the logo and right justified 1.0 inch from the right edge of the paper must appear the words Ogden City and the name of the department, agency, board, commission, or committee. The Ogden City text must be in either an Old English type font (if the city seal is used) or an Arrus type font (if the mountain logo is used) in a point size of 16 and in bold type.
D. If desired, a particular division may be identified immediately under the Ogden City line, and should be in a type size of 12 point and in bold type.
E. The lines immediately below the name of the department, agency, board, commission, or committee, should include a complete mailing address, including ZIP code, phone number, fax number, and, where applicable, an electronic mail address. No abbreviations may be used in the name and address area. ZIP codes used may be the five (5) digit ZIP or ZIP+4. In phone and fax numbers, the area code 801 is to be placed in parentheses. This information should be in a type size of 12 point and in bold type.
F. Paper color used for city letterhead may be white, cream colored, or grey.
G. Letterhead may be printed on laser printers if desired. Color printed letterhead, the use of color logos, or the use of gold foil for the city seal logo are permitted.
H. Names of elected or appointed officials may only appear on letterhead that formally represents the officials. For example, the mayor's office letterhead may include the mayor's name; planning commission letterhead may include names of commissioners. Letterhead for operating departments may not use personal names.
I. Envelopes used with city letterhead should match the color of the paper used in the letterhead, but need not include logos. Typestyles used on the envelope's return address area should be similar to those used on the letterhead. (Eff. 3-14-2007)
