A. Ogden City will pay membership dues for a professional, trade, or municipal organization in which the city wishes to have its employee participate. The city will also pay for a professional organization where an individual's participation is a requirement to perform assigned duties, maintain general professional affiliations, or in any other way serve a demonstrable public purpose.

B. Ogden City will pay membership dues for civic/service activities of local community service organizations where the city benefits in an indirect manner by increasing community relations. Only department directors or division managers will qualify for paid membership.

C. Any other expense, such as socials, sports tournaments, or assessments, will be the responsibility of the individual. (Eff. 3-14-2007)
