The agent may not approve the subdivision of land if it has been determined that, from adequate investigations conducted by all public agencies concerned and in the best interest of the public, the site is not suitable for the platting and development purposes being proposed. The agent may require the subdivider to furnish topographic maps, floodplain profile elevation information, or other relevant information.
