1145.01 PURPOSE.
The Neighborhood Commercial (NC) District is intended to provide an opportunity for development of low intensity commercial and office uses in close association with residential neighborhoods. Because Neighborhood Commercial (NC) permitted uses are generally intended to serve the neighborhood area only, they are limited in their size and scope of activities. Compatibility with adjacent land uses is emphasized to enable smooth transitions between different land uses. The Neighborhood Commercial (NC) District can be used to provide a buffer between residential and commercial or industrial areas or to provide convenience retail and services within residential neighborhoods.
